Role Overview

We are seeking a skilled Ductwork Sheet Metal Fabricator and Shop Foreman to fill a crucial role in our company. As a Sheet Metal Fabricator at All Air Systems Heating and Cooling, you will be responsible for crafting and assembling high-quality HVAC ductwork using hand tools and precision techniques.

Responsibilities

• Use hands-on experience to craft all components of ductwork.
• Proficiently read and interpret technical drawings and blueprints.
• Apply welding and soldering techniques to assemble sheet metal parts.
• Adhere to safety protocols and guidelines when working with machinery and hazardous materials.
• Choose appropriate gauges and types of sheet metal or non-metallic materials according to product specifications.
• Cut, shape, and form sheet metal to desired specifications.
• Drill and punch holes in metal for electrical components, screws, bolts, or rivets.
• Assemble seams and joints using a variety of methods such as welding, bolts, cement, rivets, solder, caulks, metal drive clips, and bonds.
• Trim, file, grind, deburr, buff, and smooth surfaces, seams, and joints of assembled parts using hand tools and portable power tools.
• Finish parts using tools like hacksaws, hand, rotary, or squaring shears.
• Develop and lay out patterns for maximum material efficiency.
• Insulate ductwork using glue and pinspotter.
• Keep track of daily material inventory.

Qualifications

• Reliable transportation to and from Keyport, NJ shop.
• Must possess hand tools.
• Self-motivated and able to work independently.
• Strong attention to detail and a high level of precision in work.
• Proficient problem-solving and critical-thinking skills.
• Effective time management and organization.
• Flexibility and adaptability to accommodate changing project demands and deadlines.
• Capable of standing and reaching for prolonged periods to perform sheet metal tasks.
• Occasional lifting capacity of up to 70 lbs.

Position: HVAC Installer

All Air Systems is looking to add another member to our family. We are looking for an installer with at least 2 years experience installing residential HVAC ductwork, sealing ductwork, running linesets, and pressure testing and filling systems. Service experience is a plus but not necessarily a deal breaker. A clean DL and transportation is required.
